Tips and Tricks on How to Get Water and Cloth in Last Day on Earth

Like in any other survival game, you will have to care about your primary needs like nutrition and hydration, protecting yourself from bad weather by clothing yourself. From the beginning, this can be overwhelming to new players, and if you are one of them, you probably found yourself dying of thirst without knowing how to prevent it.

How to get drinkable water?

Water is more necessary than clothing. Without water, you cannot survive for more than three days. It means that soon as you start a game, you should start looking for water.

1.    Build a rain catcher

Probably the best possible solution. Constructing rain catcher will allow you to have enough drinkable water whenever you needed. The problem is that you will need level 6 to be able to build it. Make sure you pick up this resources during your travel:
•    Tree pieces of cloth
•    Two units of scrap metal
•    Ten units of pine logs

Once you manage to build it, you will need some empty bottles. It doesn’t even have to be raining for the rain catcher to do its thing.

2.    Have water with you all time

The game gives you three bottles of water at the beginning. You will have to open your inventory and drink the water if you need to. It doesn’t sound like much but if you know what you are doing it will last you until rain catcher is built.

3.    Containers in every zone

It means that you can always find water in containers that can be found anywhere. Although it is highly unlikely that you find any water, there are specific areas that are good for water harvesting these areas are:
•    Enemy player bases
•    The alpha bunker
•    Plane crash sites

Getting cloth and crafting

There are many other materials, but the fabric is essential and available from the beginning. It can be used to craft T-shirts, but you can also make a SWAT suit with it. Here are some methods to get cloth:

1.    Random drops

This is easy; the game uses random list system to grant you all kinds of items, and the fabric is one of them. The only downside to this method is that the loot rewards are entirely random. Some containers have increased odds of dropping cloth, like zombies. When you kill a zombie make sure you loot the corpse and pick up the fabric if it has it on.

2.    Craft it!

This can be done when you reach level 18 as you need access to the sewing table. This table will allow you to turn fibres into pieces of cloth. Pretty exciting transmutation if you ask me. For a bench you will need:
•    Five rubber parts
•    15 units of iron bars
•    20 units of planks

Now that you have an idea how to get cloth and water you should be ready to go. We covered most important resources in game everything else will come along as you play. Thanks for reading our article and please be sure to follow us for more interesting stuff!
